Auction
The SETIcon auction will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14th. We will be auctioning very special, one-of-a-kind items:
- hard-bound book - "Contact" - signed by Carl Sagan, Jodie Foster, and Jill Tarter (donated by Thayne Muller)
- custom-made globe, signed by SETIcon guests (donated by ShastaVisions)
- 2 books - "Starplex" and "FlashForward" - signed by the author, Robert J. Sawyer (donated by Robert J. Sawyer)
- Michael David Ward lithograph honoring James Doohan - "Beam Me Up, Scotty... One More Time" - signed by George Takei and Walter Koenig, along with a James Doohan signed photo (donated by Renegade Studios)
- Poster - "SETI" - signed by the artist, Lynnette Cook, and several SETIcon guests (donated by the SETI Institute)
- 18k gold lined Gibeon meteorite band with a retail value of $1100 and an Earth/Moon pendant done in Gibeon meteorite set with a blue and white Diamond on a 14k gold cable valued at $1290 by Metamorphosis Design (donated by Metamorphosis Design)
- A photograph from the CARBON project signed and dated artist’s proof hand printed by Mr. Charles Lindsay prior to switching to a digital method of production (donated by Charles Lindsay
- Lunch with Frank Drake at a favorite restaurant, and a first edition of "Is Anyone Out There?" by Dr. Frank Drake and Dava Sobel. Dr. Drake will be personally signing the book to the highest bidder. (Book donated by Andrew Fraknoi)
- Personal tour of the Allen Telescope Array at Hat Creek, CA with Dr. Jill Tarter and Dr. Jack Welch, including lunch with Jill and Jack.
