Dr. Phil Plait is an astronomer (10 years with Hubble), blogger (5 years writing the Bad Astronomy Blog, the most recent two of which with Discover Magazine), author of two books ("Bad Astronomy" and "Death from the Skies!"), skeptic (President of the James Randi Educational Foundation [www.randi.org]), and most importantly a huge space and science fiction dork.

To his chagrin, he feels obligated to watch every science fiction movie made about space, even if that means occasionally being forced to see "Armageddon".
